So, once the kitchen was finally to a point that I considered 'pretty darn finished', I had told myself that I was not going to take on any more projects for awhile. I was just going to take a little time off, not paint another darn thing and enjoy some much needed free weekend time. Well, you can probably guess, that only lasted a few weeks and I was back at it.
This is what I was doing this weekend...
I painted the extra bedroom in the cottage, which up until now has just been a storage room and not actually a functioning 'guest room'. No more. I finally decided (three years later) that this space was going to serve a purpose other than gathering all my stuff that really needed to be in the attic. So, painting the room from its original beigy color to Martha Stewart's Heavy Cream was the starting point. I love the color, it is so soft and subtle and really brightens up the space.
Now I am trying to put things back together and slowly add to the room and make it the little retreat I envision for my guests. I have snagged the major elements for the space, but still need to find some other items, so I will keep you posted with the progress as I move towards having a real, grown-up, extra bedroom!
Best!

I really love your blog! I like the beige color that was on the wall before too, what color was that?
Jenny- Thanks for stopping by! The color is actually from the owners before myself, luckily they left their paint can for touch-ups. I found it out in the garage and it is Valspar American Tradition, Cliveden Sandstone. Hope that helps!
Thanks Ashlee!! Love your Blog!
